Thrive Landcare Acquires LifeScapes to Bolster High-End Landscape Offerings and Support Expanded Commercial Focus

Thrive Landcare has added a high-end commercial landscape business to its portfolio with the recent acquisition of LifeScapes, one of metro Atlanta’s premiere landscape companies.

With the acquisition, Thrive can continue to provide exceptional landscape services while increasing its focus on the commercial sector, explained managing partner Brandon Baxter. “The Atlanta industry has been missing that go-to company that offers the highest quality and exemplary customer service,” he said. “Thrive Landcare is well positioned to fill that demand.”

Baxter has been in the landscape business for 27 years, focused mainly on commercial offerings. Most recently, he partnered at Thrive with Chris Voyles, who has concentrated on landscape maintenance during his nearly 30-year career, including an eight-year stint running LifeScapes. The two have worked together a number of times, even starting their landscaping careers at the same time at Post Apartments in the 1990s.

“Thrive Landcare is a fairly new business, and we’re offering a fresh approach,” Baxter said. “Our service quality is unmatched — listening to customers, understanding their needs — and we provide that every day and at every interaction. In short, we’re more than just a maintenance company.”

That thought is echoed by Mikey Laney, who was recently named Business Development Manager for Thrive Landcare. A property manager for 33 years, Laney got to know Baxter more than a decade ago, hiring him for his portfolio of properties and their landscape needs. “Brandon brought solid solutions and good follow-up,” Laney said. “He just knows everything about landscaping—a one-stop shop. I could trust that he would always provide a good recommendation, and he never let me down over all the years we worked to improve properties together.”

Laney also didn’t worry about the details when working with Baxter. “I knew when I worked with Brandon that he would handle them and execute them properly. Thrive Landcare will continue to be a trusted service partner.”

LifeScapes’ high-end customers also will continue to see their needs met by Thrive Landcare. The $6 million business employs about 50 workers in 13 crews.
